Who we are? Read our Story

Pure Ark of Hope Int'l (PAOH) is a non Governmental organization, with the sole aim of enhancing the living standard and education system as well as fulfill all other basic needs of deprived African men, women and children

Pure Ark of Hope Int'l, came into existence in 1945 because of the need for the United Nations (UN) to differentiate in its Charter between participation rights for intergovernmental specialized agencies and those for international private organizations. At the UN, virtually all types of private bodies can be recognized as NGOs.

We work for children welfare, who are daily exploited and living in the condition deprived of healthy environment, proper education, food, cloth and medical care.

Ugwuh Chidiebere Christine

Dear friends, families, community partners, donors and well-wishers, It is inspiring and encouraging to write this introductory speech to all. I am so filled with excitement and hope for this young organization, as I welcome you to Pure Ark of Hope.

As some of you may be aware, a germ of an idea was planted in Amuzi in Obowu LGA in the nineties and from its small humble beginnings in this small but vibrant community, Pure Ark of Hope continues to soar higher than we anticipated.

Amongst other ventures, we have had the pleasure of working with the five main primary schools in the local community by providing school supplies and scholarships as we watch our children grow and reach many milestones. Pure Ark of Hope feels blessed to work under the supervision and guidance of its able regional representative Mr Osi Nnamdi Claude, a man of integrity, versatile and filled with innate passion to help the needy.

In Pure Ark of Hope, we believe that the young shall grow and Education is the key to the future of our children. We also believe that the right to education should be for all boys and girls. Girls have the same right as boys to access and complete their education. Any community that succeeds with this ideology will see the benefits in terms of enhanced health, stable families and jobs in the future.

Investing in education is an investment in the future. So many children are out of school for lack of funding and we want to help as many children as possible because if we do not do so, the negative consequences of conflicts within and outside the home, leading to violence and unrest on the streets, prostitution and several related emergencies.

The challenge we face is huge and I call on donors to rise to reverse the decline in quality education for our children who are indeed our future.

I encourage you to continue to value our children in the many ways you can. With your love and support, the future is very bright for our children and we can truly break the cycle of poverty and violence through Education.

In closing, I wish to thank you all. We hope that Pure Ark of Hope and its major partner Ark of Hope International Inc., will continue to grow from strength to strength as we continue to invest in the future of our kids. You are welcome to read more about us as we learn more exciting ways to promote the future for our children through Pure Ark of Hope.

Thank you.
